2025 Eastern Zone Long Course Super Sectionals Meet

️ Event Overview- Dates: May 15–18, 2025
- Location: SwimRVA - CSAC, Richmond, VA
- Hosted by: Virginia Swimming, Inc. & SwimRVA
- Sanction Numbers: VA-25-83 (meet), VA-2583TT (time trials)
- Meet Directors: Adam Kennedy, Mary Turner
️ Facility- 50m indoor competition pool with bulkhead (8 lanes, 8’3” wide)
- Separate 6-lane warm-up/cool-down pool
- Colorado Timing System, Myrtha blocks, spectator seating for 700
Eligibility- Open to USA Swimming-registered athletes in the Eastern Zone
- Must meet 2025 qualifying times (achieved after Jan 1, 2024)
- Meet capped at 650 athletes
- Swimmers with disabilities welcome (parallel standards apply)
️ Schedule- General Warm-Up: May 14, 1–8:30 PM
- Daily (May 15–18):
- Prelims Warm-Up: from 6:30 AM
- Prelims Start: from 8:00 AM
- Finals Warm-Up: from 4:00 PM
- Finals Start: from 5:00 PM
Meet Format- Prelims/Finals format
- Finals Heats: A, B, C (and D if 600+ swimmers); D & C Finals are 18&U only
- Distance events are timed finals with some swum in the morning
- Relays are timed finals; fastest 2 heats in finals
- Potential for “A/B Flight” prelim sessions
Entries- Deadline: May 6, 2025 (regular); May 12 (new qualifiers); May 13 (late entries)
- Limits: Max 7 events per swimmer, 3 per day
- Entry Fees:
- $20 per individual event
- $35 per relay
- $10 swimmer surcharge
- $150 processing fee + $30/event for late entries
- OME Only (no email entries)
️ Time Trials- Offered daily if time allows
- $25 individual / $40 relay
- Max 3 time trials per swimmer (count toward daily event max)
- Distance event time trials only on Thursday
Awards- Top 8 individual finishers
- Top 3 relay teams
- Top 3 male/female teams and overall
- Top 3 individual high point (M/F)
️ Rules & Policies- MAAPP compliance required
- Scratch deadlines each evening
- Sunday finals "no-show" penalty: $50
- Must prove all entry times (SWIMS or official meet results)
- Disqualification and fines for unregistered athletes or falsified entries

️ Officials- Must apply by April 29 (assigned roles); May 6 (general)
- Meet may qualify for National Certification evaluations
Spectators & Amenities- Admission: $12/session or $50 all sessions
- Seating opens 1 hour before sessions
- Concessions and hospitality areas available
- Full spectator policy and CSAC rules in place
