Dates: July 18-21, 2024
Location: Jeff Rouse Swim & Sport Center, Stafford, VA

Eligibility

Open to all Potomac Valley Swimming registered athletes, 13 and Over, who are not entered in the PVS 2024 Long Course Open Championships.

Entry Details

Deadline: July 9, 2024, at 5:00 pm
Late Entries: Accepted until July 15, 2024, at NOON with additional fees.
Entry Fees:
- $10.00 per swimmer surcharge
- $12.50 per individual event
- $20.00 per relay event
Submission: Entries must be submitted by email to the Meet Director.

Event Schedule

Thursday, Friday, Sunday:

13-14 Prelims: Warm-up at 6:30-7:30 am, Events start at 7:40 am
15 & Over Prelims: Warm-up at 11:00 am-12:20 pm, Events start at 12:30 pm
Finals: Warm-up at 4:30-5:20 pm, Events start at 5:30 pm

Saturday:

Timed Finals: Warm-up at 2:00-2:50 pm, Events start at 3:00 pm

Competition Format

Prelims and Finals: All individual events are prelims and finals, except for the 800m and 1500m Freestyle and the 400m Individual Medley, which are timed finals.
Relays: Timed finals, swum during prelims, slow-to-fast.
Scoring:
- Individual: 20, 17, 16, 15, etc.
- Relays: 40, 34, 32, 30, etc.
- Team scoring for 13-14 age group only, divided into three divisions.

Officials and Volunteers

Officials: Must sign up by July 9, 2024. Walk-ons are welcome.
Timers and Volunteers: Each club must provide timers and volunteers proportional to their entries. Lane assignments will be made in advance.

Additional Information

Spectators and Live Streaming: Limited seating, live streaming available on the Occoquan Swimming YouTube Channel.
Medical Assistance: Provided by facility staff.
Rules: Governed by USA Swimming rules. No deck entries, no time trials, and adherence to the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP).
