🏊‍♂️ Newly Recognized 50 Events for 13-14 Age Group!

We’re excited to share an important update in USA Swimming’s event structure: the 50 Back, 50 Breast, and 50 Fly are now recognized events for the 13-14 age group!

What’s New?
Previously, USA Swimming did not officially recognize these sprint events for 13-14 swimmers. While many local meets still included them, they were not considered for official rankings or standards.

With this update, swimmers in the 13-14 age group can now see rankings and standards for:
50 Backstroke (50BK)
50 Breaststroke (50BR)
50 Butterfly (50FL)

Why This Matters?
• These sprint distances provide more race opportunities for swimmers specializing in shorter events.
• Rankings now include official recognition of 50-yard/meter performances.
• Coaches and swimmers can track progress in sprint back, breast, and fly at a competitive level.

How It Works on SwimStandards

Our rankings and meet results have been updated to reflect these newly recognized events. The new time standards (AB times) for 50 Back, 50 Breast, and 50 Fly of 13-14 age group have been added to meet results. Additionally, the rankings page now includes these events as officially recognized events for the 13-14 age group. If you’ve competed in one of these events, your results should now appear in the rankings!
