This championship meet will bring together some of the top age-group swimmers from across Texas to compete in a wide range of events, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and relays.</p>

<li><strong>Location</strong>: FMH Foundation Natatorium, Midland, TX</li>
<li><strong>Dates</strong>: March 6-9, 2025</li>
<li><strong>Host LSC</strong>: West Texas Swimming</li>
<li><strong>Sanction</strong>: WT-0306-25</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">This meet is conducted under USA Swimming sanctioning and will feature <strong>prelims/finals format</strong> for most events, with some timed finals.</p>

<p dir="auto"><strong>Qualifying Time Standards</strong><br />
To participate in the 2025 SC TAGS Championships, swimmers must meet <strong>specific time standards</strong> for their age group. Both <strong>qualifying</strong> and <strong>bonus standards</strong> are available.</p>

<p dir="auto"><strong>Eligibility</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Age Groups</strong>: 10 &amp; Under, 11-12, and 13-14.</li>
<li><strong>Time Standards</strong>: Swimmers must meet the required time standards in a sanctioned, approved, or observed <strong>USA Swimming meet</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>BONUS EVENTS</strong>: Swimmers with <strong>one qualifying time</strong> may enter <strong>additional bonus events</strong> if they meet the <strong>bonus time standards</strong>, subject to event limits.</li>

<li><strong>Entry Deadline</strong>: <strong>Monday, March 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM (Noon CST)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Entry Process</strong>: All entries must be submitted via <strong>USA Swimming’s OME system</strong> (Online Meet Entry).</li>
<li><strong>Entry Limits</strong>:

<li><strong>Max 7 individual events</strong> for the meet</li>
<li><strong>Max 3 individual events per day</strong></li>
<li><strong>Max 2 relay events per day</strong></li>

<li><strong>Timing</strong>: Colorado Timing System with touchpads and Hy-Tek Meet Manager.</li>
<li><strong>Spectator Seating</strong>: Available, with the pool deck restricted to athletes, coaches, and officials.</li>
<li><strong>Warm-up Lanes</strong>: Designated warm-up lanes will be available in the diving pool.</li>

<p dir="auto"><strong>Scratch Procedures</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Prelims</strong> are <strong>pre-seeded</strong>, and scratches must be submitted <strong>by the published deadlines</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Finals</strong>:
<ul>
<li>Swimmers who qualify for finals must declare their intent to <strong>scratch or compete within 30 minutes</strong> of the preliminary results being posted.</li>
<li>Failure to compete in a final after qualifying will result in <strong>removal from the rest of the meet</strong> unless properly scratched.</li>

<li><strong>Scoring</strong>:

<li><strong>Top 20 places</strong> score in individual and relay events.</li>
<li><strong>Individual Events</strong>: 24-21-20-19-18-17-16-15-14-13-11-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.</li>
<li><strong>Relay Events</strong>: <strong>Double points</strong> (48-42-40-38, etc.).</li>

</li>
<li><strong>Awards</strong>:
<ul>
<li><strong>Medals</strong>: <strong>1st - 10th place</strong> (individual events)</li>
<li><strong>Ribbons</strong>: <strong>11th - 20th place</strong></li>
<li><strong>Relay Medals</strong>: <strong>1st - 3rd place</strong>, <strong>Ribbons 4th - 10th place</strong></li>
<li><strong>High Point Awards</strong>: Presented to the <strong>highest-scoring boy &amp; girl in each age group</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>TSA Team Trophies</strong>: Awarded to the <strong>Top 10</strong> teams, with the <strong>1st place team</strong> receiving the <strong>Leo Cancellare Trophy</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Horizon Award</strong>: Given to the team with the greatest improvement in standings compared to 2024.</li>

<ul>
<li>Teams may enter <strong>unlimited relays</strong> per event.</li>
<li><strong>Relay Qualification</strong>:

<li><strong>Swim-up or aggregate times</strong> may be used.</li>
<li>If a team has <strong>3 individual qualifiers</strong>, they may bring <strong>1 relay-only swimmer</strong> to fill out relays.</li>

<li><strong>Relay Declaration</strong>:
<ul>
<li>Teams <strong>must declare relay lineups by 6:00 PM</strong> the evening before each relay event.</li>
<li><strong>Fastest 10 relays</strong> may elect to swim in finals.</li>

<li><strong>Time Trials</strong>:

<li>Time trials will be offered <strong>Friday &amp; Saturday only</strong> (not Thursday or Sunday).</li>
<li>Swimmers may <strong>only swim one time trial per day</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Fee</strong>: $30 per individual event, $60 per relay.</li>

<li><strong>Officials &amp; Coaches</strong>:
<ul>
<li>All coaches and officials must be <strong>current 2025 USA Swimming members</strong> and display credentials at all times.</li>
<li>Officials must attend <strong>mandatory pre-session meetings</strong>.</li>

<li><strong>General Meeting</strong>:

<li>All swimmers must be represented at the <strong>mandatory Zoom meeting</strong> on <strong>Wednesday, March 5, at 8:00 PM</strong>.</li>
